Report Vorarlberg

To: Mr. Blake
From: Ines Peter
Subject: trips to Vorarlberg
Date: 18th October 2009

The purpose of this report is to show what Vorarlberg offers in view of the interests of young adults. This report will be focused on the following points: facilities/amenities, activities and special places in view of summer time. The following points summarize my key findings.

Facilities / amenities:
Vorarlberg is a gorgeous place for wellness. There are also lots of skate parks if you are into skateboarding. Vorarlberg’s mountains offer lots of thrilling mountain bike routes for every degree of difficulty. If you want to go out in the evenings there are lots of cocktail bars and restaurants where you can meet up with friends.

Activities:
In summer it is beautiful to go swimming. The best places are Bodensee in Bregenz and Baggersee in Brederis if you want to chill. Both of them are for free. At most evenings there are great festivals at Poolbar which is in Feldkirch. There are also good shopping facilities in Vorarlberg’s cities.

Special Places:
There are some places you must visit when you come to Vorarlberg. For example there is the “Bregenzer Festspiele” if you like musicals. Another beautiful place is the Muttersberg from where you can look over most parts of Vorarlberg. There are also some very interesting museums, for instance “Inatura”, where you can fell, smell and see the nature of local nature.

It is clear that Vorarlberg is a very small federal state, but despite of this it offers huge range of possibilities how to spend your leisure time.

Guenter hat gesagt…

"Trips to Vorarlberg" is not really your subject. It's something like "Suggestions for ..."
You should give more concrete examples. In your report the reader gets the feeling that you only start an idea. e.g. You say "there are good shopping facilities ..." and then stop.

"to show" -> to give you an idea of / ...
"in view of the interests " -> with respect to the interests

"This report will be focused" -> this report will focus ...

Mountains are not really a facility. Facilities / amenities are buildings.
"Wellness": wellness activities?
"at diffierent degrees of difficulty"

style, exp: "to chill" -> The style is formal so you can't use slang words in your text.
Baggersee: artificial lake
exp: on most evenings -> There's really only one festival there, but many concerts, shows, ...
p: Poolbar, which is

"special places" -> Places of Interest (but that's my mistake)
the Bregenz Festival -> opera (not musical)
exp: "can look over most parts" -> which overlooks most pasts / from where you have a breathtaking view of ...
exp: "fell" <-> "feel"
exp: "The nature of local nature"

exp: but despite this / in spite of this
exp: it offer a great variety of options for spending your leisure time

I like that you use suitable adjectives. This goes really well with what you're supposed to do here.
